PARSNIP AND APPLE

Following weeks of outrageously coloured soups this week sees us return to the, what has become famously known in the soup world as, 'THE BIG SOUP TIN'
This week the magic tin has created this:
(those with 20/20 would have already spotted one of  Sharon's world famous white chocolate scones just in front of  TSTCBN).

LETTUCE AND SPINACH SOUP - UMM STRANGE...

The other night I had a dream about making a soup (as you do) out of leaves - so this week I have done just that (+onion).
The new pressure cooker worked well on the mixed lettuce leaves, spinach, spud and onion.

The party at chez #1 in full fling.
In your face, non brown, GREEN soup.
Next time I will add 2 spuds and an apple.
Post soup R&R. Mavi relaxes in her new throne.

POST HOLIDAY SOUP BACKLOG CLEARANCE!

ROYAL REMINDER JUMP-STARTS THE SOUP REVIVAL.....
Loyal readers may have noticed a slight pause in, what has become lovingly known nationally as, 'THE' soup blog. Not just a few dedicated followers, least one, a doctor, has contacted our busy call center (24h/ 365d/ 360o "we are here to support your every soup need") and reminded one of our dedicated volunteer phone operatives of the Soupmaster's commitment to soup  heritage, world peace and wise words that calms the nation in these stressful times.
So, like the Dove from Above your hero lowers himself  down into your world to deliver this message....
"Loyal subjects and fellow Americans, I have returned from my humble international tour, supporting our boys on their mission to invade Sandiago de Compostbin. I can now safely say  "I have walked The Way" (for at least 1/2k, but was cruelly diverted by an inviting 12 euro lunch menu - it taught me about temptation... yum).
Now I'm back, and the blog rolls on like an out of control despot's speech."
(Well done  Anne, you are no wussy when it comes to yomping - respect!)

ROAST CELERIAC AND GARLIC SOUP

ROAST RED PEPPER AND SPUD SOUP
I hope Soupee Mr Trellis of Acton notices the subtle tonal change (I stirred the tin).

LIFE THOUGHTS

LIFE THOUGHTS
An occasional pause to consider others philosophy on life in general. This week, Sharon's friend Kate's husband - "What doesn't kill you makes you weak". If you have a burning desire to share your own personal life compass, feel free to email the Soupmeister and a select panel of eminent life coaches will consider it for inclusion. "Life, don't talk to me about life.." Marvin 1976 The image above is a sign seen on the slow train to London last week - NO LEAPING BABIES ?
