SURPRISE SNOW STOPS SOUP SUPPLY SHOCKER!!!

HAVE A SOUPER CHRISTMAS AND A NEW YEAR!
Christmas arrangements have forced Souperman to suspend his usual soup supply service. Normal service resumed on Friday 7thy January.

Keep keen and alert to news of an inventive soup production in 2011.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH AND PARSNIP SOUP.

Sunflower seed Granary bread, onions, butternut squash, parsnip, mixed fresh herbs and S&P.

Sorry about the lack of wipe situation!
(This is Owen's dish he had another 'double dip' with a cabbage and broccoli soup.)

As the keen eyes amongst you have already spotted, Souperman and his beautiful side kicker, Shazam, went mobile again due to the snow and ice. We were warm.

SOUP OF THE WEEK - SPICY SPROUT AND CELERY

Onion, celery, sweet spud, sprouts, salt, pepper and Korma spices.

A wholesome, warming concoction that has hints of a curry!
The Parmigiana and sun dried tom bread was lovely but we should have had Nan bread instead.
Mave said -  Is it nameless. It's like a curried soup"
Owen said - It's Korm again soup!
Shazam said - Be careful, it's hot!

SOUP OF The week -- Warming Winter Vegetable.

SHOCK NEWS THIS WEEK!
Your  intrepid Souperman braves the snow drifts and goes mobile.
This week the Friday dinning experience is transferred to Oldcastle Avenue.
Celery, Purple Majesty spuds, onions,cabbage, parsnip, thyme, pre soaked Sainsbury's Country Soup Mix of barley, split peas etc., veg Oxo, lots of pepper and the magic  WS!
I realise it looks like vomit and a house brick but let the lab rats speak....
Mavis - It's everso hot
Owen - I've caught a purple bit! By gum it's good!
Elk - Is there enough for another bowl?

SOUP OF THE WEEK - Spicy tom. or Cabbage and spud.


It was time to empty some of the frozen soup hidden in the depth of the freezer - pot luck!
Mavis said = "Has it got a name? The soup is lovely...as per."
Owen said = "One soup is hotter than the other. The viscosity if different."
Sharon said = "Oh ! have I got two?"

SOUP OF THE WEEK -- Leek, garlic and spud.


     Soup plus a dash of Worcestershire Sauce and a finger of fresh from the oven granary.


Leeks, garlic clove, onion, spuds, Joe's chilli olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt pepper and a little milk.



Mavis said - Has it got a name? I was educated/ brought up on soup
Owen said - Parsnip? The strangest soup we have had is Orange
Shazam said - Oh, this is lovely. Crumble next!

SOUP OF THE WEEK -- Broccoli and Lentil Soup


MAVE =  "Has it got a name? Verdun? "
OWEN = "I have no idea. It just tastes good."
SHARON = "Do you like my new boots?"
This weeks soup contains; broccoli, shallots, garlic, green lentils, spuds, fresh parsley, parmigiana, salt, pepper and a stock cube served with home made granary bread (pudding - Sharon's apple and rhubarb crumble).
